Working with the Fresh Arts committee, NBT aims to introduce the highest quality arts into the Trust’s sites at Frenchay and Southmead to make their environments distinctive, welcoming and lively for the benefit of patients, staff and visitors.
The programme includes: exhibitions, a staff arts club, improving the environment projects, music and performance programmes and artists’ workshops and residencies that provide creative opportunities for patients, staff, visitors and local people.

Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Arthritis, bone and muscle diseases affect almost all of us at some point in our lives. Although these problems are commoner as we get older, people of any age - even children - can be affected.
The Rheumatology Service cares for many thousands of patients from North Bristol and surrounding areas. We are actively carrying out research helping us to understand more about conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis. We also raise money to support Patient Self Help groups and provide extra care to help local patients cope with the pain and difficulties caused by their arthritis. |

Arts - Fresh Arts is the arts programme for North Bristol NHS Trust. It uses the arts to improve patient wellbeing and the working lives of staff at the hospitals by enhancing patient environments, improving morale, providing opportunities for positive involvement and establishing the Trust at the heart of its local community.
