Suzanne will cover more than 38 miles every week for the Cancer Charity Fund at Southmead Hospital.

The fund provides specialist equipment and support to improve care for cancer patients across the city.

Suzanne said, “It’s a huge challenge. I’m really determined to complete 2012 miles. The furthest I have ran before is ten miles, so I’m in for a big surprise!

“There were lots of raised eyebrows when I said I’d be taking part in this event but it’s a personal goal of mine and it’s a great way to raise money for charity.”

Suzanne will also raise funds for the Bristol Rugby Community Foundation as part of the challenge.

Suzanne has pledged to raise a minimum of £2012, with a view for much, much more.

Head of Fundraising Trevor Reid said, “This is an amazing challenge which will benefit a very deserving cause at Southmead Hospital. The money that Suzanne raises will help people in Bristol living with cancer and will boost our services and facilities for patients. We wish Suzanne all the best with her 2012 challenge.”
