A team of cyclists from Southmead and Frenchay hospitals have taken part in the inaugural Great Weston Ride.

The ten-strong team tackled the 56 mile course from Bristol to Weston Super Mare, raising funds and awareness for Shine together.

Head of Fundraising for Shine together Trevor Reid said, "We're delighted to have been chosen as one of the official charities of the Great Weston Ride. Our cyclists are helping to raise vital funds for both Southmead and Frenchay. The money they raise goes straight to supporting our patients, so the miles they cover in the bike ride will make a real difference to local people."
