The Neo-natal intensive care unit at Southmead has received a fantastic donation of over £4,300 thanks to the fundraising work of two Mums.
Rebecca Lemin and her twins Isabella and Eliza, and Nicola Bruton and her daughter Bethany all returned to NICU to present the money to staff at the unit.
The twins and Bethany were all born several months prematurely and were looked after at Southmead.
The two mums raised the money at a fundraising ball they organised in October. They have made the donation specifically to help other families, and to help furnish a new family room in NICU.
Head of fundraising at Southmead and Frenchay hospitals charity Shine together, Trevor Reid, said: "We want to say a huge thank you to Rebecca and Nicola and everyone who supported their fundraising efforts. This donation will make a huge difference to the care we provide.” |
