Staff at Construction firm Carillion PLC are boosting support for terminally ill patients at Southmead hospital thanks to a donation of over £1,300.
The 'Dreams and Wishes Fund' at the Shine together charity is getting the donation from workers at Carillion who are building the new hospital at Southmead.
The fund provides support for terminally ill adult patients at North Bristol NHS Trust and donations arespecifically used to fund patients 'dreams and wishes'. To date more than £130,000 has been raised and more than 100 grants have been awarded.
The donation of £1377.67 was raised by Carillion staff who took part in the Dursley Dozen cross country run, and through a number of other fundraising events including a Christmas raffle.
