Nearly 100 mums, dads and babies took part in a four mile charity walk this August in support of Southmead hospital maternity unit.
The walk called ‘From Here to Maternity’ has raised over £2000 for the appeal, and saw participants walking from Bristol’s College Green to Southmead’s antenatal clinic.
The funds raised will go to the ‘Mum’s the word’ appeal helping redevelop the maternity unit at Southmead hospital. The plans include an expanded birthing suite, more consultation rooms for baby scans and a greater number of en-suite facilities for new mums.
