Stephanie Cole

Actress Stephlegacywebanie Cole is supporting Shine Together, the charity at Southmead and Frenchay and encouraging more people to leave a gift in a will to the hospitals.

Here Stephanie explains why she is a supporter of the charity’s free guide on ‘leaving a legacy’ for future generations in and around Bristol.

Somebody once said, ‘If you want to change the world, start in your own back yard’, and I think that is why this campaign is such a brilliant idea. Lets start in our own back yard and look at these fantastic hospitals which we will nearly all of us make use of at some time in our live.

It is sensible no matter what your age to make a will. It’s also terribly easy and this leaflet will demystify for you and make it even easier. And it really is the work of minutes.

I’m sure I’m one of many millions of people who would like a say in where my money goes. This is one way of ensuring that you have a say in where your money goes. Because otherwise it could go to things that honestly you either disagree with violently, or you have no interest in. But this way you can actually say, “That is my money. I want it to go there” and you can do it!

The Shine together charity has produced a free guide to supporting a charity which you can download here.

You can also request a full pack of useful will writing information and a copy of the leaflet by emailing the fundraising office This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or telephoning 0117 323 8624.
