The World Health Organization defines “Palliative Care” as “the active total care of patients whose disease is not responsive to curative treatment. Control of pain, of other symptoms and of psychological, social and spiritual needs is paramount.”
Our aim in Palliative Care is to achieve the best quality of life for you and your family. We have Palliative Care funds at both Frenchay and Southmead Hospitals. |

We fundraise for wards and departments and use funds to provide enhanced care, new Hospital equipment and improved services. Shine Together is a leading Bristol Hospital Charity helping to support patients across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Our Charity includes many specific funds for areas including neo-natal care for babies (NICU), Prostate Cancer Care and research, Multiple Sclerosis, Renal services and Maternity. | ||
